What it is

bridgewatch is an open-source tray monitor for GitLab CI and GitHub Actions on macOS and Linux. It solves the problem of monitoring tools that show only the newest pipeline on a branch rather than tracking complete pushes. The tool reads child pipelines behind trigger jobs on GitLab and folds multiple workflow runs from a single push on GitHub into one view. Users can configure it to distinguish scheduled pipelines from pushes, specify which jobs indicate deployment, and mark the parts that failed. The monitor ships as signed macOS apps for Apple silicon and Intel, plus .deb, .rpm, and AppImage packages for Linux.

Built with Rust, Tauri 2, and Svelte 5, bridgewatch is licensed under Apache-2.0 and welcomes issues, pull requests, and responsible vulnerability reports. The project is hosted on GitHub with a read-only mirror on GitLab.

Questions from the bench

How is bridgewatch different from other tray monitors?
bridgewatch was built because existing monitors read only the newest pipeline on a branch, which is often a scheduled pipeline rather than a real push. It tracks complete pushes, reads child pipelines behind trigger jobs on GitLab, folds multiple GitHub Actions workflow runs from one push into a single view, and can explicitly report on deployment status.
What platforms does bridgewatch support?
bridgewatch runs on macOS and Linux. It ships as signed apps for Apple silicon and Intel on macOS, and as .deb, .rpm, and AppImage packages for x86_64 and arm64 Linux systems.
What CI systems does bridgewatch monitor?
bridgewatch monitors GitLab CI and GitHub Actions. On GitLab it reads child pipelines behind trigger jobs, and on GitHub it combines multiple workflow runs from a single push into one row.
How can I contribute to bridgewatch?
Issues and pull requests are welcome on GitHub. Vulnerabilities should be reported privately following the security policy rather than as public issues.
Do I have to change my phone number?
No. Forward your number to the one your plan includes, or give out the new one. Included numbers cost nothing extra, and you can add up to five more for a monthly charge shown before you buy. Local numbers are available in the United States, Canada and Estonia; other European countries open once their local registration is approved.
