Build with Maker Launches: API and MCP
You can reach Maker Launches by REST API or by MCP server, from your own code or from an AI assistant. Either one can search every launch, read leaderboards and founder stories, submit a product by its website address, edit your listing and get a checkout link for a paid launch, and the rules do not differ.

Bring your AI assistant
Point your MCP client (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code and others) at https://makerlaunches.com/mcp, as a custom connector or MCP server. Try “What launched this week in my category?”, “Find alternatives to my competitor” or “Launch my product https://example.com”. You can read straight away, and the first time you change something a browser opens so you can connect your account. Step-by-step for each app.

House rules
- Prices come from Maker Launches's pricing (list_products), in US dollar cents, excluding VAT.
- AI drafts show their evidence from the product's own website. Missing facts are marked and left blank, and the AI never makes anything up.
- Voting is closed to the API and the MCP server. On Maker Launches, votes come only from people who are on the site.
- Paid spots (the billboard and sponsorships) are labelled as paid, and community rankings stay a matter of votes only.
- To pay, the person opens the checkout link the API returns and pays on that page. The API itself takes no card details.
Questions
- Is it possible for an assistant to vote or pay for me?
- No to both. Only people on the site vote, and payment is made by you, on a checkout page you open from the link the API returns.
- Do I have to pay for the API?
- No charge for the API or the MCP server: both are free within the published rate limits. A paid launch or other purchase is priced on the pricing page.
- Is there an API for Maker Launches?
- Yes. Use /api/v1 for the free REST API (OpenAPI) or /mcp for the remote MCP server. Reading public data needs no sign-in; managing your own listings needs your account, through OAuth or an API key.
- Can I reach Maker Launches from Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or VS Code?
- Yes: add the MCP server URL to your app as a custom connector or MCP server. Reading needs nothing more; your first write opens a browser to connect your account.
- Is there a risk of the AI making up facts about my product?
- The draft is built to use only your own website. Facts it cannot verify there stay blank and marked, and you can review and change every field before anything goes live.
