Mixing Pal reads your open Ableton set and suggests one move to try, helping you finish stuck loops while learning the reasoning behind each change.

What it is

Mixing Pal is an AI coach that works inside Ableton Live to help producers finish incomplete loops. Rather than teaching courses using example projects, it reads your actual open session and suggests one specific move to try based on your arrangement, devices and samples.

The tool addresses the limitation of traditional tutorials by working with your own track in your own genre. You remain in control, making all changes yourself while Mixing Pal explains the reasoning in plain language. After trying each suggestion, you hear what changed and why it worked, building understanding specific to your music.

Mixing Pal is currently in early access, accepting a small initial group of producers to bring their stuck eight-bar loops for real-world feedback.

What it is built with

  • Reads open Ableton session in real-time
  • Suggests one actionable move at a time
  • Explains the reasoning behind each suggestion
  • Preserves user control over all edits
  • Works with your own tracks and genre

Questions from the bench

How is Mixing Pal different from online courses?
Courses teach the same drops and beats on example projects, but Mixing Pal works with your own track in your genre. It reads your arrangement, devices and samples, then gives you one move to try on the song you actually have open. You hear what changed and why it worked in your specific music.
Does Mixing Pal edit my track?
No. Mixing Pal never touches your notes, clips or devices. It suggests one move and explains the reason in plain language. You decide whether your track needs it and make all changes yourself.
What system does Mixing Pal require?
Mixing Pal works with Ableton Live 12 on Mac with a half-finished track open.
