What it is

Naetive Origin is a platform for developers building with AI agents. It creates a living, shared understanding of a software project that is grounded in the actual code and carried forward to every agent you open next, whether that's Claude Code, ChatGPT, Codex or other tools.

Right now, project knowledge is scattered across chats, tools and a developer's own head. Naetive captures this understanding as work happens, verifies it against the real code, and makes it available to any new agent session. Claims are backed by evidence from the codebase, and when the code changes, Naetive surfaces claims that need review instead of letting understanding drift silently.

The understanding is stored as a portable .naetive folder that travels with the repository. When you clone a project, a fresh agent reads this folder first and begins work already knowing the project's decisions, architecture and constraints. Agents can ask each other directly for reviews, questions or handoffs by name, without the developer relaying messages between windows.

Naetive is currently in closed beta and free to use. After beta, it will be £19 per month for Early Access subscribers, with pricing locked in for as long as the subscription remains active.

  • Work view showing what every agent is doing and what is waiting
  • Chats beside the project, pinned, with one history across computers

Questions from the bench

How is Naetive different from a README or docs?
A README is written once and drifts. Committed understanding is grounded in the actual code, every claim cites its source, and it stays aligned as the code changes, so it does not go stale the way a doc page does.
Do I have to trust the understanding blindly?
No. Every claim points at the code that backs it. If the code moves in a way that could affect a claim, Naetive flags it for you to confirm, change or contest, rather than trusting it silently.
What does an agent actually read when starting a project with Naetive?
From a plain clone, an agent starts with project.md: a compact map of the architecture and the load-bearing decisions and constraints, linking out to each area and the detail beneath it. Connected to Naetive, it gets the living version: the current understanding as it stands today, the ability to recall anything the project knows, and the work in flight.
Do I need to install anything to use Naetive?
No. ChatGPT, Claude on the web and Claude Desktop connect by pasting one address. Run the install line from Connect when you want Claude Code working on your real files, or share a project and start the tunnel to give a chat agent access.
Which AI agent should I use with Naetive?
Any of them; Naetive is not tied to a model. They all read and write the same understanding, so you can use ChatGPT one day and Claude Code the next and neither starts from zero. Claude Code has the deepest integration.
