What platforms does GOL Voice Assistant work on?

GOL Voice Assistant works with Claude Code on Windows only. It has been tested with iPhone, but Android testing is not yet complete. It requires Node 18 or newer and your PC must remain on with Claude Code and GOL Voice Assistant open.

How is my voice data handled?

Your messages pass through GOL's server encrypted between your phone and PC and are never stored. When Whisper is enabled, voice clips are sent to Cloudflare's Workers AI for transcription and are not kept by GOL. Your GOL key stays on your PC and is only held in memory on the server while your PC is connected.

How do I install and set up GOL Voice Assistant?

Get your GOL key at the console, install it in PowerShell using npm install, switch it on, and scan the QR code with your phone's camera. Add the page to your home screen. Have Claude Code open in Windows Terminal with its tab in front. The installation command is npm install -g @golproductions/voice-assistant and you run it with gol-voice.

Can I use GOL Voice Assistant with other AI tools?

No, GOL Voice Assistant currently works with Claude Code only. Support for other AI tools is not available at this time.

GOL Voice Assistant turns your phone into a voice remote for Claude Code on Windows. You talk to your phone using the mic, and your speech is typed into Claude Code as if you'd typed it yourself. Claude Code's replies appear on your phone and are read aloud in a conversational way.

You control it naturally: just start talking, say "pause" or "wait" to pause reading, "go on" to continue, or "stop" to end. The app keeps your phone screen awake while you talk and keeps you informed with status messages.

The service requires your PC to be on with Claude Code and GOL Voice Assistant open. You can work from the couch instead of your desk. Messages pass through GOL's server encrypted and are never stored.
