What it is
COLVO provides two integrated products for teams running AI agents in customer-facing workflows. COLVO Test replays scenarios in an isolated sandbox before deployment, catching regressions and flakiness with 88 scenario templates for refunds, cancellations, pauses and plan changes. COLVO Guard gates every real action in production, applying policies and human approval before actions reach external systems like Stripe, then independently verifies outcomes against actual state rather than agent claims.
The platform uses deterministic verdicts based on explicit checks against real state, with optional AI-backed advisory features. It includes features like idempotent retries, kill-switches, guardrails for prompt injection and PII detection, per-user spending caps, and append-only evidence logs. Deterministic checks never require an AI key; semantic judges and guardrails are metered separately.

- One suite run counts as a run regardless of the number of scenarios or repeats. The Free plan includes 100 runs per month, Test includes 2,000 runs per month, and Guard includes unlimited runs.
- Do I need an AI key to use COLVO?
- No. Deterministic checks decide every verdict without requiring an AI key. An AI key adds optional advisory features like the semantic judge, guardrail judges, the Test Architect and AI-generated red-team suites, which are metered and never free.
- Can I use Guard features on a Free plan?
- Yes, Guard can be enabled on a Free workspace as an entitlement for pilots. Request it from Settings → Plan and a COLVO admin can enable it; the plan stays at the Free baseline pricing.
- How is AI cost displayed?
- AI usage is shown per call, per run, and per month as either known costs from the gateway or estimated from the model catalog. Caps at organization and platform level prevent calls at 100% and send email alerts at 80%.
- What happens when an agent action fails verification in production?
- COLVO applies a policy gate that evaluates the action and returns ALLOW, REVIEW, HOLD or DENY. Risky actions pause for human approval, and COLVO independently verifies the outcome against actual state before actions reach the provider.
