What it is

Certvo is an AI-powered accessibility scanner that checks websites against WCAG 2.1 and 2.2 Level AA standards. Instead of just reporting violations, it generates specific code patches mapped to the affected HTML elements. The platform includes continuous monitoring to catch regressions, AI-assisted guidance for understanding issues, and tools for generating accessibility statements and VPATs. It works with any publicly accessible website regardless of technology stack and helps organizations prepare for regulatory requirements including the European Accessibility Act, ADA, and Section 508.

How is Certvo different from other accessibility tools?

Certvo audits the underlying HTML and returns AI-generated code patches you can review and deploy, rather than dropping a JavaScript overlay or generating passive audit reports. The tool does not modify the page at runtime; it fixes the source code.

How does the AI credit system work?

AI credits are consumed when using AI features like generating explanations, code fixes, or alt text. The deterministic scan itself does not consume credits. Free accounts include 10 credits per month; paid plans include 100–500.

Can I use Certvo with any website?

Yes. Certvo works with any publicly accessible site regardless of stack, including WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, Next.js, and custom frameworks. The audit reads the rendered HTML, so technology choices do not matter.

What WCAG version do you test against?

Certvo tests against WCAG 2.1 at Levels A, AA, and AAA, covering 60+ rules mapped to specific success criteria. The scanner also covers EN 301 549, the harmonized European standard built on top of WCAG 2.1 AA, so passing AA covers EAA requirements.

Will Certvo help us prepare for the European Accessibility Act?

Yes. The EAA enforces WCAG 2.1 AA via EN 301 549 from 28 June 2025 for consumer-facing services. Certvo audits against that standard, generates code fixes, and provides free accessibility statement and VPAT generators.
