What it is

aisa.to, as visitors see it

AISA measures AI fluency through a 20 to 40 minute conversational assessment rather than a traditional quiz. Users chat with an AI facilitator that adapts to their answers and skill level, with scoring tied to evidence from their own conversation against a published rubric covering five dimensions: Prompting & Communication, Critical Thinking, Technical Understanding, Workflow & Application, and Safety & Responsibility. Every completed assessment generates a personalized report, an official AISA AI Skills Certificate verifiable on LinkedIn, and optional access to coaching products. The platform covers 93% of markers from Anthropic's AI Fluency Index and 100% of the U.S. Department of Labor's AI Literacy Framework. As of September 2026, over 2,400 assessments have been completed.

Questions from the bench

Is the AI fluency assessment free or paid?
The assessment, full report and official AISA AI Skills Certificate are completely free and require no credit card. Paid products are optional: the AI Fluency Map ($19 one-time), AI Coach on WhatsApp ($19/month after 7-day free trial), and Master bundle ($49). Your score is calculated before any offer appears and nothing you buy changes it.
Why is a conversational AI assessment better than a quiz?
A quiz tests recall while a conversation tests what you actually do. AISA adapts to your answers, follows up on claims, and scores what you demonstrate against a fixed published rubric. The rubric is versioned and stable, while AISA's knowledge of AI tools refreshes weekly to keep questions current without changing the scoring.
When can I see my AI fluency score?
The assessment takes 20 to 40 minutes depending on how deep you want to go. Twenty minutes is the minimum for a valid report. Once you finish, your results generate in about three minutes.
Are the scores reliable?
Yes. 98% of people who retake AISA land in the same or adjacent tier, with scores correlating at r = 0.79 between attempts. Every score is tied to a quote from your conversation, a second more capable model reviews the full transcript before results are issued, and one published rubric applies to everyone.
How does AISA measure AI fluency objectively?
Every score is tied to a quote from your own conversation and judged against a published rubric: 11 criteria across 5 dimensions (Prompting & Communication, Critical Thinking, Technical Understanding, Workflow & Application, Safety & Responsibility), each described band by band from Novice to Expert. The rubric has been cross-referenced against Anthropic’s AI Fluency Index, covering 93% of its markers, and is public at /resources/the-aisa-rubric.
