Tranzly

A WordPress translation plugin where the free edition covers any number of languages and carries no cap on words

Ahrefs Domain Rating benchmarked 2 Nov 2026, rebuilt 2 Nov 2026.

Where most translation tools bill by volume, Tranzly leaves the billing to DeepL or an AI model you connect yourself, and makes each WordPress page, product and menu a genuine page in every language you add.

Tranzly is a WordPress translation plugin built around one genuine post per language, each with its own translated address, so /about/ turns into /de/ueber-uns/. It also provides reciprocal hreflang, canonical addresses and a sitemap entry for every language, whether you use WordPress, Yoast SEO, Rank Math, SEOPress or All in One SEO.

Translation goes through DeepL or an AI model of your choosing, using your own account. The estimated cost is displayed first, and Tranzly never counts or sells words, so the translation service is paid directly by you. The free edition on WordPress.org includes unlimited languages, a side-by-side editor, background translation jobs and a status view for each language. Corrections made by a person are shielded from re-translation.

Two database queries at most are added per translated page, and no cookie is set, so page caches carry on working. Tranzly Pro adds the whole WooCommerce shop with prices in the visitor's currency, Elementor, Divi, Bricks and other page builders, a glossary and translation memory, translator and reviewer roles, plus imports from WPML, Polylang and TranslatePress. AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT can drive translation through 73 built-in tools.

Zinn Digital® Ltd develops, sells and supports Tranzly, and Neil Lock builds it. Over 7,000 sites are active with it, according to WordPress.org.

What it is built with

  • A genuine page per language, tied back to its original post
  • Localised addresses, with permanent redirects from the former ones
  • Reciprocal hreflang, canonicals, and all languages listed in the sitemap
  • Your own DeepL or AI model account, with the cost displayed beforehand
  • Word limits do not exist: Tranzly neither counts nor sells words
  • Editor with original and translation side by side, plus status per language
  • Translation jobs run in the background, with a report and retry in one click
  • Switch languages via block, menu item, widget, shortcode or floating button
  • WooCommerce products in all editions, the complete shop in Pro
  • Pro supports Elementor, Divi, Bricks, Beaver Builder, Oxygen and WPBakery

Questions from the bench

What does it cost to get started with Tranzly?
Nothing for the core plugin on WordPress.org, which covers unlimited languages, linked translations, machine translation through your own DeepL or AI key, translated addresses, hreflang and sitemaps. Tranzly Pro extends that to the entire WooCommerce shop, page builders like Elementor and Divi, bulk translation and team workflow.
Are translations billed by the word?
No. Tranzly does not count or sell words at all. Your own DeepL, Google, Microsoft or AI account does the work, an estimated cost appears beforehand, and you settle up with that service directly.
Does going multilingual with Tranzly hurt site speed?
Each translated page costs two database queries at most and no cookie is set, which leaves page caching working as before.
Is it possible to switch over from WPML, Polylang or TranslatePress?
Yes, through Tranzly Pro. It brings across your languages and the links between translations, keeps the earlier plugin's data untouched, and a single button reverses the import.
Which company is behind Tranzly?
Zinn Digital® Ltd develops, sells and supports Tranzly, with Neil Lock as the builder.
