PDF to Excel is a free Chrome extension that extracts tables from any PDF into a clean, editable Excel or CSV file in one click. It preserves rows, columns, and totals exactly as they appear, and keeps numbers as real numbers that can be summed. The extension works both ways: you can convert PDF tables to Excel or save an Excel sheet as PDF.

The tool handles various document types including invoices, bank statements, reports, and price lists. Text-based PDFs are parsed locally in your browser with no sign-up required and no file uploads. For scanned or image-only PDFs, an optional AI mode is available to read the content, but this requires choosing to enable it for each document.

Do my files get uploaded anywhere?
Text-based PDFs are parsed locally in your browser and never leave your machine. Only if you turn on AI mode for a scanned file does that page get processed remotely.
Can it convert Excel to PDF too?
Yes. It works both ways: extract a PDF table into Excel, or save an Excel sheet as a PDF. Same one-click flow.
