A native desktop app that displays persistent incoming-call banners over your active screen and rings until you click Join to alert you about scheduled video
What it is
Meeting Ringer is a lightweight native desktop utility that monitors your calendar locally and alerts you to upcoming video meetings with unmissable incoming-call rings. When a scheduled call is about to start, it displays a persistent banner over your active screen and rings continuously until you click Join, Snooze, or Dismiss—breaking through Focus Mode, Do Not Disturb, full-screen applications, and headphones.
All calendar processing happens on your device with zero upload to servers. The app automatically detects and extracts join links for Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Webex, letting you enter calls with a single click. Built as an ultralight native app rather than a browser extension or heavy background process, it idles at less than 0.1% CPU with zero battery drain.
Meeting Ringer is designed for people doing deep focus work—engineers, designers, founders, and anyone who needs to protect flow state without risking being late to important meetings.

Questions from the bench
- Does Meeting Ringer read or upload my calendar events?
- No. All calendar processing happens 100% locally on your device. Meeting Ringer only inspects your local calendar events to detect meeting start times and video join links for Google Meet, Zoom, Teams, and Webex. Your meeting titles, attendees, and links are never uploaded to the company's servers.
- Will it slow down my computer or drain my laptop battery?
- No. Meeting Ringer is built as an ultralight native desktop utility rather than a heavy background app. It idles silently in your system tray at less than 0.1% CPU and only wakes up seconds before a scheduled call.
- How does the free trial work for company emails?
- Download the app and test it on your real meetings immediately without a credit card. You get a full 14-day unrestricted trial. If you keep it, the plan costs $1/month billed annually at $12/year with an instant PDF receipt for reimbursement.
- Which calendars and video platforms are supported?
- Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Webex links are automatically detected. Meeting Ringer syncs with Google Calendar, with Microsoft Outlook and iCloud support in active development, across macOS, Windows, Linux, iOS, and Android.
