Each product you founded can have its own story, told in your words.

About founder stories
A founder story is the story of ONE product, told by one of its founders. Co-founders each write their own story of the same product. Each of your products can have its own story.
Write or edit
Your stories live at /account/founder/story once you are signed in. For each product you see where its story stands - Not started, Draft, Published on N sites - and Write or Edit. Each listing's profile screen in your account also has a 'Founder story for <product>' card that opens the same editor.
Writing help
The editor, titled 'Founder story: <product>', breaks the story into six guided parts (How it started, The problem, What we built, The hard parts, Milestones, What's next), from the start to what comes next. Nothing is lost if you stop: the draft saves as you go. Photos are optional, up to 4 of them. If you see 'Help me word this', it polishes your own sentences and adds nothing new; you decide whether to keep it.
Publishing
First make sure your founder profile at /account/founder is complete; the story displays your name and photo. It also needs at least 3 sections and 200 words, no more than 2 links, and no prices or offers.
Who sees it
The story's own address is /launch/<listing>/story/<founder>. On a free listing the story card is locked, because it belongs to the full profile; becoming a paid launch opens it. The founder profile shows a list of your product stories, and /stories gathers all published ones. A card on the product's listing leads readers to it.
After publishing
A story written before for several products is kept as general text on your founder profile, and new product stories begin with it. Come back whenever you like, edit, and publish again. Any /founder/<name>/story link you shared before still works; with several products it opens your founder profile.
Questions people ask
- Can one story cover all my products?
- No. Each story is about one product. An older story covering several stays as your general text.
- Why can't I publish?
- Check that your founder profile at /account/founder is complete and the story meets the minimum sections and words.
- Why is the story card locked on my listing?
- It is part of the full profile, which is locked on a free listing until it becomes a paid launch.
