What it is

Words Unscrambler is a free word-game tool that finds every valid word you can make from a set of letters. Enter up to 20 letters (using ? for blank tiles), and the tool returns all possible words sorted by length, with Scrabble and Words With Friends point values for each. It includes advanced filters to find words that start, end, or contain specific letters, and an exact length option.

The tool uses the public-domain ENABLE dictionary with 172,823 words ranked by frequency in English Wikipedia. Results are computed in real-time from your input, not copied from other sources. The site also offers complementary tools including an anagram solver, Jumble solver, Wordle and board-game solvers, game helpers for Word Cookies and Letter Boxed, and word lists organized by length.

How do I unscramble letters into words?

Type the letters into the box and press Unscramble to get every dictionary word those letters can spell, sorted longest first. Use ? for a blank tile and advanced filters if the word must start, end, contain specific letters, or have an exact length.

Can I use a blank tile or wildcard?

Yes. Each ? stands for any one letter, just like a blank in Scrabble or Words With Friends. Words that need a blank still show their face-value points without it.

Which dictionary do you use?

The public-domain ENABLE list with 172,823 words, ranked by how often each word appears in English Wikipedia. It is close to the North American Scrabble dictionary but not identical.

What is the difference between an unscrambler and an anagram solver?

The unscrambler lists every word you can make from some or all of your letters. The anagram solver puts words that use every letter first, which is what you need for Jumble and anagram clues.

Does it work for Words With Friends and Scrabble?

Yes. Every result shows its Scrabble and Words With Friends value. To build on letters already on the board, use the Words With Friends cheat.
