What it is

wifipass.freemake.online, as visitors see it

WiFiPass turns Wi-Fi credentials into a scannable QR code plus a printable guest card for cafés, rentals, guest rooms and offices. Type the network name and password, get a code that any modern phone camera understands, print it, done.

Unlike other WiFi QR generators that send your password to a server, WiFiPass generates the QR code entirely in JavaScript running on your device. The encoder is bundled directly into the page with no CDN or third-party requests. You can disconnect from the internet after loading the page and everything still works.

The payload follows the WIFI:T:...;S:...;P:...; format understood by iOS and Android. Reserved characters are automatically backslash-escaped. Error correction is set to level H for 30% damage tolerance so printed codes survive creases and smudges.

The site is maintained by a small independent team building focused utility sites on the freemake.online domain, keeping pages fast, advertising unobtrusive, and functionality honest.

Questions from the bench

Is it safe to put my WiFi password into this site?
Yes — the page never sends anything anywhere. The QR code is drawn by JavaScript running inside your browser tab. You can verify this by loading the page, switching on airplane mode, and the generator keeps working. There is no account, no server-side processing, and no place for your password to leak to.
How do guests actually join with the QR code?
Guests point their phone's camera at the code — no app needed on iPhone (iOS 11+) or most Android phones (Android 10+). A banner appears saying "Join network"; one tap and they're on Wi-Fi. On older Android versions, the built-in Google Lens or a free QR scanner app does the same thing.
Which security type should I pick?
Check the sticker on your router or its admin page. WPA2 is the right choice for almost every network made in the last 15 years. Pick WPA3 only if your router is set to WPA3-only mode (the QR uses the SAE token, which phones from about 2020 onward understand). WEP is obsolete; Open means no password at all.
Does the QR code ever expire?
No — the code is just the network name and password encoded as pixels. It stays valid until you change the SSID, password or security mode on the router. If you rotate your guest password, generate and print a fresh card.
What are the five security options in the dropdown?
WPA, WPA2, WPA3, WEP and Open. The QR format is older than the names, so WPA and WPA2 both encode as T:WPA, WPA3 encodes as T:SAE, WEP as T:WEP, and an open network as T:nopass with no password field.
