Do recipients need an account or an app?
No. Recipients open links in any browser to view, comment and approve. They only sign in if you send a private drop, and then it's a one-time code to their email.
What file types can people view in the browser?
PDFs, PowerPoint decks, Word and other documents, spreadsheets, images (including HEIC), audio, video, code, Markdown, ZIP archives and whole folders. Anything else can still be downloaded.
How big can a drop be, and how long does it last?
Without an account, up to 250 MB for 24 hours. With a free account, files stay until you delete them within 2 GB storage and 1 GB per drop. Pro offers 50 GB storage and 15 GB drops, and Team offers 250 GB and 50 GB. Any drop can be set to expire sooner.
How do AI agents use Slingdrop?
Connect the MCP server to Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT or any MCP client. Your agent can share files, and when it builds something like a landing page or logo, it sends it for review. You comment and approve in the browser, and the agent reads your feedback and sends a new version.
What does end-to-end encrypted mean for Vault drops?
Vault files are encrypted in your browser with AES-256-GCM before upload. The key travels only in the URL part after the hash, which browsers never send to servers, so Slingdrop stores ciphertext it cannot read.
