What it is

Skisso is a Chrome extension that lets you select any element on a live web page, edit it directly, and copy the result as a structured patch your AI coding agent can act on. Instead of describing changes in prose, you point at the interface, make real edits visible in the browser, and hand over the exact CSS diff. The tool sits between your browser and your coding agent, translating visual changes into structured, agent-ready code.

It works as a visual sandbox on any page, including localhost development servers. You select elements by hovering and clicking, edit spacing, color, typography, layout and text live on the page, and copy your changes as a patch in one keystroke. Your coding agent receives not a screenshot or description, but precise element references with before-and-after values. The panel includes its own chat with your coding agent, so you can ask questions about selected elements without leaving the page or pasting selectors again.

What exactly is Skisso?

A Chrome extension that puts a Figma-style design panel on any page, including localhost. You select an element, edit it live (spacing, color, type, layout, text, structure), and copy the result as an agent-ready design patch for your AI coding assistant.

Does it change my source code?

Not by itself. Everything happens in the browser as a sandbox. Your codebase changes only when you hand the patch to your agent (or apply it yourself). In the panel's AI agent chat, your own coding agent edits files only when you allow it; the extension never writes to your files.

Which AI agents does it work with?

Any coding agent. The patch is plain, structured text: Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, Windsurf, or a raw API call. With the local bridge you can also chat directly in the panel with Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, Copilot CLI or Cursor Agent, or connect any MCP client.

Is my data safe?

Skisso has no account, analytics, telemetry, or remote backend. Selected content, screenshots, and interactions are processed locally for the feature you request. Nothing is sent to an AI service unless you decide to share it with your coding agent or GitHub.

What does it cost?

Skisso is free on the Chrome Web Store. If paid features ever arrive, the plan is a simple flat price, no seats, no meters, no subscription arithmetic.
