What is my screen size?

Screen size has two meanings: the physical size of your display measured diagonally in inches, and the screen environment your browser reports in pixels. This page gives the complete overview for both measurements.

What is the difference between screen resolution and viewport size?

Native resolution counts the physical panel pixels. The screen value is what the browser reports in CSS pixels. The viewport is the page-rendering area inside the window where CSS media queries and breakpoints respond to that area rather than the full screen.

Why does my screen show fewer pixels than advertised?

Operating-system scaling and browser zoom can change the reported CSS dimensions without changing the physical panel. Multiplying by device pixel ratio gives a rendering estimate but not a guarantee of native resolution.

Is any of this data sent to your servers?

The live detection runs in your browser. Anonymous aggregate screen-environment buckets are counted to power comparison stats, but raw visits, IP addresses, user IDs, full user-agent strings, copied reports or shared report links are not stored.
