Is my file uploaded anywhere?
No. Tracing and file creation happen in your browser, using code that is part of this page. Your image is not sent to a server.
How large an image can I use?
Files up to 40 MB. For speed, images are traced at up to 1600 pixels on the longest side, and small images are enlarged first so curves fit better.
Why does my SVG look blocky or lumpy?
Usually because the source image is small or soft. Try a larger source image, raise Smoothing, or use a higher Soften value so the edges are cleaner before tracing.
Can I trace a photo?
You can, using the Photo style, but expect a posterized look and a large file. Logos, icons and line art give much better results.
