How it started

PinoyFreelance.PH started from a simple frustration. Filipino freelancers are genuinely world-class. Our English proficiency, work ethic, cultural adaptability, and technical competence make us some of the most competitive remote workers in the global market. But too many of us are still undervalued, underpaid, and undersupported.

I wanted to create a resource that treated Filipino freelancers like the professionals they already are. Not a get-rich-quick blog. Not a generic tips list. A real, honest, practical guide that covers everything from choosing your niche and setting your rates to receiving international payments and landing your first client on a global platform.

Written in Taglish. Because that is how we actually talk to each other.

The problem

PinoyFreelance.PH solves one core problem: Filipino freelancers have world-class skills but not always the knowledge, tools, or confidence to present those skills to international clients at the rates they deserve.

I built this for two audiences.

For Filipino freelancers who are just starting out or already freelancing but stuck at rates far below their actual market value. They need practical guides, honest rate breakdowns, payment platform comparisons, and niche-specific starter guides written in a way that actually makes sense to a Filipino professional.

For international buyers who want to hire Filipino talent but do not know where to start. They need an honest guide to Filipino freelancer rates, how to write a proper brief, where to find vetted specialists, and what to expect from working with Filipino remote professionals.

PinoyFreelance.PH serves both sides of that equation.

What we built

PinoyFreelance.PH launched in early 2026 with a clear mission and a blank WordPress site. I started publishing practical articles, niche starter guides, and honest platform comparisons one page at a time.

Every article was written from the ground up with real research, real peso figures using BSP reference rates, and real platform names. No generic filler content. No invented statistics. Just honest, practical guidance for Filipino freelancers and the international clients who want to work with them.

Today PinoyFreelance.PH has published 99 articles across six content pillars, three Niche Starter Guides, four free tools, and six comprehensive hub pages covering every major aspect of Filipino freelancing from getting started to receiving international payments.

The site is growing every week and the community response has been genuinely encouraging. Filipino freelancers from all over the country have reached out to share how the guides helped them set better rates, choose a niche, or finally take the first step toward international freelancing.

We are just getting started.

The hard parts

The biggest challenge was building credibility from zero. When PinoyFreelance.PH launched there was no audience, no backlinks, and no existing trust in the market. Every article had to earn its place through genuinely useful content rather than through an existing following or paid promotion. Publishing five articles per week consistently while maintaining research depth, accurate peso figures, and natural Taglish voice was demanding especially in the early months when the results were not yet visible. Building something real takes longer than building something loud.

Milestones

In less than a year PinoyFreelance.PH has published 99 articles across six content pillars, three Niche Starter Guides, four free tools, and six comprehensive hub pages covering every major aspect of Filipino freelancing. The site was recognized as a Top 2 startup launch on LaunchIt for September 2026 finishing only behind a globally recognized platform. More importantly Filipino freelancers from across the country have reached out to share how the guides helped them set better rates, choose a niche, and finally take the first step toward international freelancing. That response is the achievement that matters most.

What's next

The immediate focus is hitting the 100 published article milestone and continuing to expand the Niche Starter Guide series to cover more high-demand freelancing specializations. Beyond that PinoyFreelance.PH is working toward a community features section where Filipino freelancers can share their stories and connect with each other. A newsletter is also on the roadmap. The long-term vision is for PinoyFreelance.PH to become the most trusted and most practical freelancing resource for Filipino professionals anywhere in the world.
