pdfzus is a browser-based PDF merger designed for privacy-conscious users in German-speaking regions. You upload multiple PDF files, arrange them in any order using drag-and-drop, and the tool combines them locally in your browser without sending files to any server. The application runs entirely in your browser using WebAssembly, requires no account creation, adds no watermarks, and optionally compresses the final PDF to a target file size. It also supports merging PDFs with image files (JPG, PNG) and includes additional PDF tools for editing, splitting, organizing, signing, compressing, converting, and OCR processing.

Designed with DSGVO compliance in mind, pdfzus stores servers in Germany, uses TLS encryption, includes no tracking cookies, and ensures sensitive documents like applications, invoices, and contracts remain under user control. Questions from the bench

Is pdfzus really DSGVO-compliant and safe for sensitive documents?
Yes. pdfzus is made in Germany and DSGVO-compliant. Your files are processed via WebAssembly directly in your browser and never leave your device. The servers are located in Germany, use TLS encryption, and there are no tracking cookies, making it suitable for application documents, tax documents, and contracts.
Are my files uploaded to servers when merging PDFs?
No. pdfzus uses WebAssembly for local processing in your browser. When merging, your documents remain on your device without cloud uploads or server transfers. Only for extremely large files over 200 MB is there an optional server fallback in Germany.
Is PDF merging really free without watermarks?
Yes. The tool remains free and adds no watermarks. There are no subscriptions, no hidden fees, and no registration requirement. The finished PDF contains no "Created by" notices or logos.
Can I change the order of files when merging?
Yes. In the popup, you can move files up or down before creating the output.
Why is the merge button disabled?
The extension activates export only when at least two valid PDF files are loaded and the page count can be read.
