What it is
PairOnce is a browser-based file transfer service that lets you send files, photos, text and links between your phone and computer with no app installation or account signup required. Files are encrypted end-to-end between your browsers and transferred directly whenever possible, or through an encrypted relay when networks block direct connections. No copies are stored on PairOnce servers.
Beyond basic file transfer, PairOnce includes several built-in tools accessible from the message box: live picture sharing to show your camera or screen on the other device, scan-to-PDF to photograph pages and create searchable documents, clipboard sync to copy on one device and paste on the other, and a distribution room to send the same files to everyone on your Wi-Fi. Received files wait in the page until you explicitly save them, and the service automatically resumes large file transfers if the connection drops within 30 minutes.

- Yes. Files are encrypted between your browsers and transmitted directly or through a relay that only passes encrypted data. No copy is stored on PairOnce servers. Compare the safety code when pairing to ensure no one is intercepting. Keep your original files until the other device has saved its copy.
- Does PairOnce store my files?
- No. There is no cloud storage. Files go to your other device either directly or through a relay that keeps nothing, and wait in the receiving page until you save them.
- Do I need an account or an app?
- No. PairOnce runs in the browser on both devices. There is nothing to install and no sign-up required.
- How big can a file be?
- Up to 2 GB per file in current browsers, or 10 GB with PairOnce Pro. Older browsers like Safari before iOS 26 support up to 50 MB per file. Once devices are connected, PairOnce shows the exact limit for that pair.
- Is it free?
- Yes. Sending files and all tools are free with no sign-up required. An optional PairOnce Pro plan costs $3.99 a month or $29.99 a year and adds more relay data, files up to 10 GB, and higher tool limits.
