OnlinClipboard

Questions from the bench

What is the Online Clipboard?

Online Clipboard is a temporary content-sharing tool for moving text, images, and files between browsers, devices, or people. It creates one-use shares that can be opened with a link, QR code, or passcode, remain available for no more than 24 hours, and are deleted after the first successful retrieval.

How do I use the Online Clipboard?

Choose Text, Image, or File from the home page, paste or upload your content, select a passcode length, and click Create Share. The recipient can then open the link or use the passcode to retrieve it. Remember the share is intended for one successful retrieval only.

How long is shared content kept?

A share is available for up to 24 hours unless it is successfully retrieved sooner. After retrieval, the record is marked as used and the relevant deletion process runs. Text can be removed immediately upon retrieval, while file cleanup may complete through download or scheduled cleanup. Expired shares are removed by scheduled jobs.

Do I need to register an account?

No account or login is required to use the core clipboard. You can create and retrieve temporary shares directly from the public tool without registration.
