What it is
MindMapAny converts long-form content into structured mind maps. Upload a PDF, Word document, EPUB ebook, PowerPoint presentation, paste text, or provide a web link. The service extracts the body text, anchors each piece to its source location, and builds a hierarchical mind map that preserves traceability: PDF nodes carry page numbers, PPTX nodes show slide positions, and document sections are anchored to their position.
Every node in the generated map is editable. You can double-click to rename nodes, use Tab to add child nodes, Enter to add siblings, Space to collapse branches, and Delete to remove nodes. The layout, colour theme, typography and branch numbering are all adjustable. Maps export to PNG, SVG or Markdown, and you can generate public links so others can view your maps without signing up.
The platform supports 30+ output languages, so you can read content in one language and generate the map in another. Maps are limited to 110 nodes maximum per generation, with different depth settings mapping to different level and node budgets.

- Which input formats are supported?
- Pasted text, PDF, DOCX, EPUB, PPTX, TXT, Markdown and public web links are supported. Maximum file size is 20MB per file. Scanned PDFs, audio, video and legacy DOC files are not supported yet.
- Are the page numbers on nodes accurate?
- Yes. Each chunk is bound to its page number or section position during chunking. The model only references chunk IDs, and the location is resolved by lookup, never generated by the model.
- Who owns the mind maps I generate?
- You own the mind maps. You can export or delete them at any time. Share links are off by default, so nobody else can access a map until you turn public sharing on yourself.
- How much can I do on the free plan?
- Signing up grants 30 credits, which is enough to fully try text and web page inputs. Long documents and the high-quality model are charged against your plan and credit balance.
- Can I edit the map after it is generated?
- Yes. You can edit nodes by double-clicking to rename, pressing Tab to add a child, Enter to add a sibling, Space to collapse a branch, and Delete to remove one. Layout, colour theme, typography and branch numbering are adjustable, and formatting is saved with the map.
