What it is

mildspring is a small studio making digital notebooks, journals and planners designed for e-ink tablets. Each notebook is a PDF with hyperlinked pages that let you tap a section name on the index to jump straight to it, and tap the header on any page to go back, working like a real notebook with tabs.

The notebooks are sized exactly for each tablet screen—Supernote, Kindle Scribe, reMarkable, Fujitsu Quaderno, and BOOX—with no scaling or cropping. Every detail from layout to links is built for how you actually write, with high contrast and plenty of writing space.

Customers can choose from ready-made designs with original hand-painted covers by Rabia, or use the custom notebook builder to pick sections, page styles, and layouts. The studio offers planners in daily, weekly, and monthly formats, along with templates bundles for different tablet models.

Questions from the bench

What is a hyperlinked PDF notebook?

It is a PDF where the pages link to each other. You tap a section on the contents page to jump to it, and tap the header on any page to go back. It works like a paper notebook with tabs, and it opens in the PDF reader your tablet already has.

How do I load the PDF onto my device?

After you buy, you get a download link in your order email and in My Account, under Downloads. You move the PDF to your tablet by USB, cloud sync like Supernote Cloud, or email, whichever your tablet supports.

Can I use this on a regular tablet or computer?

The notebooks are optimized for e-ink screens, but the PDF works on any device that opens PDFs. The navigation links work everywhere, though it won't feel as natural as on an e-ink tablet with a stylus.

Do you offer refunds?

Since these are digital files, refunds are not offered after download. If something is wrong with your file, you should get in touch and they will make it right.

Which devices are supported?

Right now Supernote (Nomad A6X2, A6X, and Manta A5X2), Kindle Scribe, reMarkable, and Fujitsu Quaderno are supported. BOOX and Kobo are next. Each notebook is a PDF sized for the screen it was made for, so you pick your device when you buy.
