What it is
Hintly is a small AI that runs as a Chrome extension in your Google Meet calls. It monitors conversations and instantly displays explanations when participants mention unfamiliar terms, acronyms, names or concepts that you might not know. The hints appear a moment after they're mentioned, so you can stay focused on the conversation while keeping up with the discussion.
The tool handles multiple types of explanations: defining jargon and acronyms, identifying people and their roles, fact-checking incorrect statements, and clarifying references mentioned earlier in the call. Hints appear directly on your screen and follow you if you switch between tabs using Meet's floating window.
Hintly offers a free trial of 60 minutes with no credit card required. After that, the Pro plan costs $12 per month for up to 50 hours of calls.
