GetBirthChart is an online birth chart calculator and interpretation tool that turns your birth date, time and place into an accurate natal chart. The platform calculates planetary positions from professional ephemeris data and explains how placements and aspects connect in plain language.

The tool features a Python calculation engine (gbc-astro), open-source under GNU Affero General Public License v3.0-only, that handles astronomy computations rather than approximating in the browser. It converts local birth time to Universal Time using the IANA timezone database and derives houses and aspects from planetary positions.

GetBirthChart treats astrology as a reflective language for thinking about yourself rather than science or prediction. It avoids fear-based predictions and describes placements as tendencies you may recognize. Written interpretation is generated with AI restricted to the facts of your own chart, synthesizing how placements, houses and aspects interact rather than reading each placement in isolation.

What if I don't know my birth time?

Rising sign, houses and chart angles require an accurate birth time, so GetBirthChart leaves them out rather than guessing. You can still explore Sun, Moon and other planetary placements that do not depend on exact time, and add a birth time later if you find one.

Is astrology scientific and do you make predictions?

Astrology isn't a science and GetBirthChart does not present it as one. They treat it as a reflective language for thinking about yourself, avoid fear-based and deterministic predictions, and describe placements as tendencies you may recognize.

Is birth data private?

Your birth details are used only to compute your chart and are treated as personal information. GetBirthChart never sells birth data.
