- All files you open in a tool stay in your browser tab as a File object. The processing is done locally on your device using libraries like pdf-lib, jsPDF, the canvas API, and Web Crypto. Files are never uploaded to external servers, so FileTools Kit has no access to the files you process.
- Do I need to create an account to use FileTools Kit?
- No account is required. The small file jobs that FileTools Kit handles, such as joining PDFs or shrinking photos, do not need an account, a watermark, or an upload of files to someone else's server. You can start using the tools immediately.
- What happens to my files after I close the browser tab or refresh the page?
- FileTools Kit does not store your documents. A reload drops the in-memory file. Downloads you saved stay in your downloads folder on your device. The site is not designed for long-term file storage.
- How is FileTools Kit supported if it's free?
