What it is
DropLink is a peer-to-peer file transfer app that lets you share files between Mac, Windows, iPhone, Android, and any web browser. Every transfer is end-to-end encrypted using TLS 1.3 with QUIC protocol, and files move directly between devices with no cloud storage involved.
On the same network, devices discover each other automatically via mDNS and transfer files at full network speed. For transfers across the internet, DropLink uses NAT traversal to establish direct peer-to-peer connections when possible, with an encrypted relay fallback if needed. The receiver doesn't need the app installed—they can download files through a web link in any browser.
The app includes no accounts, no sign-ups, and no telemetry. Optional password protection adds another layer of security. File size is unlimited, and you can send folders as automatically compressed ZIP archives.
