Convert2EPUB turns documents into real ebooks with chapters, a working table of contents, and text that reflows to any reading size. It converts PDF, DOCX, RTF, TXT, ODT and HTML files into EPUB ebooks, and can also convert EPUB files to PDF, AZW3 or MOBI for Kindle. The tool features automatic chapter detection, removes printed page elements like headers and footers, and handles scanned PDFs with OCR. It offers both Standard conversion for novels and text documents, and Pro recognition for textbooks and technical documents with formulas and tables. Available as a website, desktop app, and Chrome extension.

How does pricing work?
Convert2EPUB uses credits only for work that costs processing time. Text PDFs and Word documents convert free. OCR of scanned pages costs 1 credit per page, recovering an existing text layer costs 1 credit per 10 pages, Pro recognition costs 2 credits per page, and translation costs 1 credit per 500 words. New accounts receive 30 free credits. Credit packs range from 250 to 2,500 credits and never expire. A monthly plan offers credits at a lower rate per credit but they expire at month end.
What's the difference between Standard and Pro?
Standard is best for novels, reports, and PDFs that already contain selectable text. It converts text locally and can recover existing text layers or run OCR. Pro is designed for textbooks and technical documents, using a document-recognition model to reconstruct formulas, tables, code, and images while keeping surrounding text reflowable. Pro costs 2 credits per page because every page is processed by the recognition service.
What's included in a free conversion?
Any ordinary text PDF converts free with Standard conversion and includes automatic chapter detection, removal of repeated headers and footers, image preservation, a clickable table of contents, and EPUB formatting for the selected reader. Fixed Layout is also free because it preserves each PDF page as an image. DOCX, RTF, TXT, ODT and HTML files convert free with no account and no page limit.
Can I convert a scanned PDF without an account?
Yes. The first 10 pages that need OCR or text-layer recovery are free in every book. After that, OCR costs $0.015 per page, recovering an existing text layer is $1.39 per book, and every paid book costs at least $1.39. Pro recognition and translation require an account.
What happens to my uploaded files?
Anonymous uploads and finished EPUBs are removed after download or shortly afterwards. If you sign in, uploaded files and completed EPUBs stay in your library for up to 30 days for repeat downloads, but are not permanent cloud storage. The desktop app converts locally on your computer, so files never leave it.
