What it is

Cacher is a code snippet organizer designed for professional developers and teams. It provides long-term memory for coders by keeping all code snippets organized in one place and accessible from anywhere.

The platform supports multiple clients including desktop apps for macOS, Windows, and Linux, as well as a web application. Cacher integrates with popular development tools including Visual Studio Code, IntelliJ Platform, GitHub, Chrome and Firefox browsers, Slack, and Raycast.

For teams, Cacher offers shared libraries, team collaboration features including code reviews, role management, and centralized billing. It enables users to organize snippets with color-coded labels and share knowledge with colleagues through shareable snippet URLs.

What is the difference between public and private snippets?

Public snippets are search-engine crawlable and new ones are listed on the front page of snippets.cacher.io. Private snippets are only visible to authorized users and not listed on search engines.

Can my team export snippets for backup?

Can my company host Cacher on our own server?

Yes. A self-hosted Cacher instance costs $5,000 per year plus $150 per seat per year, billed annually, with the subscription covering server maintenance and support.
