BroadPaper

What it is

BroadPaper is an embeddable report designer SDK for React and Angular applications. Developers integrate it by declaring a typed data schema and mounting the designer component, then users create document layouts visually using blocks, bindings and conditional logic without breaking the structure. The designer produces JSON templates that can be rendered to vector PDFs in the browser, in Node.js, or via a server render service, with no server-side PDF generation required. The same template renders consistently across different themes and environments.

The SDK includes features like structured document models with automatic pagination, data binding with type checking, custom blocks, table formatting with repeating headers, charts, theming support for white-label products, and AI-assisted template design. It supports React, Angular, .NET 8 and .NET 10 clients, and provides a render service behind HTTP. Templates are versioned and migratable forward, and the engine is a WebAssembly implementation written in Rust.

Questions from the bench

Do I need to know anything technical?

No. If you can use a spreadsheet you can use BroadPaper Cloud. You bring in your data, pick a design, and download a PDF — there is nothing to code, nothing to install and no formulas to learn. Designing your own layout takes an afternoon of getting used to.

Why is it priced in US dollars?

Payments are taken by Creem, the merchant of record, which charges in US dollars. Your card is charged in dollars and your bank converts at its own rate. Any VAT or sales tax is added at checkout.

Can it send the documents, or make them on a schedule?

Not yet. BroadPaper makes the files when you press the button; you send them yourself. It does not email clients for you and nothing runs on a timer.

What happens to my documents if I cancel?

Every PDF you have already generated is yours and stays downloadable. Your data and your designs stay in your account. New documents go back to carrying the BroadPaper mark once the period you paid for ends.

Is my data private?

A spreadsheet, Word document or PDF is read in your browser and never uploaded as a file. What BroadPaper reads from it is sent to your workspace and stored on servers in the UK. Everybody you invite to the workspace can see what is in it.
