What it is

BasaltLabs is a desktop anti-detect browser designed for users running multiple web identities. Each profile operates in complete isolation with its own unique fingerprint, proxy, and encrypted storage, ensuring that networks cannot link identities together. The browser includes three engine options—Custom Chromium, Stock Chrome, and Custom Firefox—all delivering C++-level fingerprint spoofing for canvas, WebGL, audio, fonts, timezone, locale, WebRTC, and other signals that trackers monitor.

The platform features a local AI agent that can automate browser tasks when connected to any OpenAI-compatible local LLM. The agent reads the real page and controls the browser like a person would, handling navigation, typing, clicking, and humanized mouse movements. AI Warm-up allows profiles to browse naturally before use, and AI Fingerprint automatically generates proxy-coherent identities with matched timezone and locale.

Security is built in at the device level: proxy passwords and 2FA secrets are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before any sync, cookies are protected by the OS keychain (DPAPI on Windows, Keychain on macOS, libsecret on Linux), and there is no telemetry whatsoever. The browser runs on Windows 10/11, macOS 12+, and Linux, with full Puppeteer and Playwright compatibility for headless automation via CDP endpoints.

What it is built with

  • Isolated browser profiles with unique fingerprints per identity
  • Deterministic fingerprint spoofing for canvas, WebGL, audio, fonts, timezone, and WebRTC
  • C++-level spoofing in patched Chromium browser engine
  • Per-profile proxies with HTTP, HTTPS, and SOCKS5 support
  • Local AI agent for browser automation via any OpenAI-compatible LLM
  • AI Warm-up for natural browsing patterns before profile use
  • Fingerprint Lab with generator, templates, and live CDP verification
  • Full Puppeteer and Playwright compatibility for headless automation
  • AES-256-GCM encryption of secrets at rest with device-level key derivation
  • No telemetry or analytics

Pricing

Questions from the bench

How does BasaltLabs avoid detection?
Spoofing happens at the C++ engine level inside the patched Chromium fork, not as JavaScript overrides, so navigator, canvas, WebGL, audio, fonts, WebRTC, and UA-CH report consistent deterministic values. The Fingerprint Lab runs live CDP verification so you can see exactly what the running browser exposes.
Does it work with my proxies?
HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5 are supported, with health checks and IP geo lookup built-in. Authenticated proxies work through a built-in local relay with no awkward extensions or login prompts.
Is the local AI actually local?
Yes. The agent connects to any OpenAI-compatible endpoint on your machine, such as LM Studio or Ollama. Prompts, page text, and screenshots stay on your computer and are never sent to BasaltLabs—only your profile data syncs to your account.
Which operating systems are supported?
Windows 10 / 11, macOS 12+ (Apple Silicon and Intel) and major Linux distributions are supported. The feature set is the same everywhere—only the OS-level keychain handling encrypted cookie storage differs.
Can I export my data?
Always. Profiles, cookies, extensions and the fingerprint of every identity can be exported to encrypted backup files at any time, and imports work the same way. Your data is yours.
