How do I put my listing on the billboard?

The billboard ranks listings by money contributed, not votes. It's a separate paid board where your contribution total puts you in order.

What the billboard shows

The billboard is a leaderboard at /leaderboards/billboard. It ranks listings by how much money their makers have put in, and it says so plainly on the page. It sits alongside other leaderboards but works in its own way.

How the ranking works

You pick an amount in US dollars—the minimum is $5. Your contributions stack up: each time you add money, it joins what you've already given, and that total is what ranks you. Anyone who has contributed stays on the board.

How to add your listing

For a listing you already have, it must be live first. Then sign in, go to /account/listings, find "Upgrades and extras" next to your listing, and enter your amount under Billboard. You can also add a contribution when you submit your listing.

It doesn't touch votes

The billboard never buys votes and never shifts the community leaderboard, Launch of the Week rankings, verification status or Domain Rating. Each one is its own thing, and each is marked as such. Promo codes don't reduce what you've contributed to the billboard.

A link that stays

Contributing gives your company a followed link (no nofollow) to its website from /leaderboards/billboard, with your company name as the anchor. We keep it for life, wherever you rank. It comes off only if the listing is taken down for breaking our rules or the contribution is refunded.

Questions people ask

Does the billboard affect my votes or community ranking?
No. Votes and the billboard are separate systems. Your community ranking comes from votes alone. The billboard is a paid listing, clearly labelled.
What if I add more money to the billboard later?
It all adds up. Your total contribution determines your position on the board, and you stay listed as long as you have contributed.
When can I join the billboard?
For a listing you already have, it must be live first. Once it is, sign in to /account/listings and choose "Upgrades and extras" to enter your contribution.
Will the billboard link to my website?
Yes. A followed link to your website, with your company name, stays on the full board for life; it is removed only for a take-down for breaking the rules, or a refund.
